Announcing RP4K Game Jam Winners from March 2025

What is a Game Jam?

A Game Jam is a fun challenge where participants create a game within a limited time based on a surprise theme revealed at the start of the event! It’s an exciting way to boost creativity, teamwork, and coding skills while making something amazing. Game Jams are used by Game Studios.

This is a one to two-day event and it’s FREE for students registered in our Summer 2025 session!!

The aim of a Game Jam is to challenge kids to code on their own!

Our first RP4K Game Jam took place over the  March 15–16 (2025) weekend.

Here’s a quick look back at an amazing weekend of creativity, collaboration, and code:  Weekend Highlights
- 8 students participated (including one duo team!)
- Theme “Hidden Treasure” revealed at 9:45 AM EST on March 15
- Projects included:
  • Hidden-object Egg Hunt
  • Knight’s Maze Quest
  • Hungry Bear Adventure
  • Pirate High Seas
  • Space Treasure – a cosmic treasure-hunting adventure
  • Goblin Gold – fend off goblins to claim your loot 

Winners & Awards
- First Place – Hungry Bear Adventure:  Beckett
- Second Place - Hidden Object Egg Hunt:  Tanaka & Violet
- Honorable Mention – Knight’s Maze Quest:  Nicholas

There is a 10% Early Bird discount for registering your child for a summer 2025 RP4K Coding, AI or Applied Math camp and paying in full before June 15th. FREE Online Game Jams will also be part of our Summer 2025 camps!
