Scott King, B.Math (Honours), B.Ed, first started work with RP4K as an instructor in 2006 as part of a coop term while attending the University of Waterloo. He enjoyed teaching so much that he returned a few more summers to teach and ultimately attended Teacher’s College at Queen’s. After receiving his B.Ed in 2009, he returned to RP4K now as the Director of Education for which he continues to develop new courses, enhance/revamp/upgrade current courses and working directly with the instructors to provide the highest quality of education.
Scott King teaches the RP4K instructors to teach the RP4K proprietary curriculum. Prior to that, he screens, interviews and tests the instructor candidates to see which of them have the teaching personalities for instructing children. Scott has written the following RP4K instructor manuals: Early Start Alice Magic Show, Beginner Visual Basic Serpent Temple, Beginner+ Visual Basic Pizza Bandit, Developing Visual Basic Polar Peril, Developing+ Visual Basic Galacticat, Intermediate Python Avalanche, and Advanced C++ Haunted Harbour. Scott King was also the Top Grade 12 student in the Ontario High School Chess Championships in 2002.
